Review- City of Glass

City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3)

Title: City of Glass (The mortal Instruments #3)

Author: Cassandra Clare

Summary:
To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters - never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City - whatever the cost?

Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the final installment of the New York Timesbestselling trilogy The Mortal Instruments

Review:
Well… im a little overwhelmed by these books. Especially this one!

So far I have loved every single one of them, but in City f Glass, you finally got some answers!! And I mean, ALL the answers! Really I feel like this series could have been a Trilogy and it could be over. There is no cliffhanger; no nothing to make you think there is more to the story.
(I found out later this was meant to be a trilogy, and Cassandra Clare then later decided to expand it and write 3 more books to the series, though the next 2 books have received some CRAZY bad reviews... Despite that, ill still read them because I love the characters and I do want to see where they go)

Speaking of characters, all of the same ones came back. I really don’t want to spoil anything, but this book makes it ok for Jace and Clary to love each other, they really are not brother and sister!! YAY

Of course there was non stop action. We finally get to see Idris and the city Alicante… we find out who Clary’s brother really is.

Clary finds a way to save Jocelyn…
Everyone has a happy ending…

That’s all Ill say, before I add WAY too many spoilers

  1. Great review! I've seen the bad reviews but I've read City of Fallen Angels and City of Lost Souls and loved them. Not as much as the first three books though.

  2. So glad you enjoyed this book! City of Glass is probably my favorite book from the series. I kind of wish Cassandra Clare left the series as a trilogy. I haven't read City of Fallen Angels yet because I'm scared to know what could go wrong next lol. Great review!

  4. This series seems like a major undertaking. I will eventually read it, but it may be a while down the road. Glad you liked them though!
