Lux: Beginnings (Obsidian & Onyx) Official Blurb:

There's an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he's hot...until he opens his mouth. He's infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he lights me up with a big fat bulls-eye. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.

Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro alien connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

Best Kind of Broken- review

Title: Best Kind of Broken
Author: Chelsea Fine

Rating: 5 stars

Its been quite a while since I wrote a book review, so be patient with me.

Best Kind of Broken was a rollercoaster of emotions, with thrilling highs and depressing lows.
You get to follow the relationship of Levi and Pixie, both fully developed characters, as they try to heal after some horrible event (that you wonder about for the most part of the book) You know from the beginning that they have some kind of past, they obviously care about each other, but they just cant seem to get beyond whatever is ailing their friendship-that-could-be-more.

I loved the inn, the way the story went, and most importantly the romance between the two of them. I loved their playful banter and fights, and I really enjoyed seeing them heal and come together.

I will say though, that it was sad at parts. Very sad. Like…I can understand how these two people could be seriously changed forever kind of sad.

Overall, the book was great, like all of Chelsea Fine’s books. (If you haven’t read the Archers of Avalon series, you should seriously considerate it)

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy, in exchange for an honest review!

Wells Fargo and lack of Customer Service

Dear Wells Fargo,

Do you care at all about Customer Satisfaction anymore?

Let me tell you what happened recently.
I've been banking with Wells Fargo since I was 14 years old (when i got my first job) I have been a loyal WF customer for over a decade now.
During this time I never had a single issue with Wells Fargo. ZERO overdraft issues, ZERO missed payments (I also have a WF Credit Card- and a Savings account as well)
I even worked for Wells Fargo, as both a Teller and then Lead Teller.
About a year and a half ago, I added my new husband to my accounts, Welcoming in another new customer to your fold.
During that transaction- apparently the banker didnt add Overdraft protection to my account (despite my having a savings acct and CC with WF that would make for Overdraft protection, and how I had it set up before I added my husband)

This month (about a week ago) I had my very first overdraft... I couldnt believe it. I had Overdraft protection...right?
Come to find out, no... it was taken off when I added my husband.

So, I go in to speak to a banker, Explain the situation.
-Ive been banking with you for 10 years.
-never had an overdraft charge before
-Had $3500+ in my savings acct, and a $5000 credit limit on my CC that could have covered the... $10 overdraft.
--And I asked for it to be refunded.

They told me NO.
They said only HALF could be refunded...
My husband is ready to leave WF over this, and I explained that to the Banker AND to the Store Manager... and They didnt care.
WF is willing to lose a loyal customer, with thousands of dollars, over $17?!

Is this the way WF works now?

The store manager told me that even though it was bank error- because I didnt tell the bank they had made an error (by not adding my overdraft protection when i added my husband to my accts) that it was no longer bank error.

Is that what it has come to?
Wells Fargo is willing to LOSE valuable customers over $17!?

I would love a reply.

Thank you
WF Customer (for a short time longer, anyways)
